Mechanic Mondays! - Brakes
Your vehicle’s brake system is one of the key safety components and prone to problems caused by harsh weather conditions. Heat is the main culprit, especially for vehicles loaded down with travellers and gear. Stop-and-go driving and mountain driving tend to wear down brakes faster than freeway driving. Other factors include how hard you apply brakes, driving conditions and types of materials used in brake pads. Symptoms of worn brake components can consist of squealing, scraping, grinding noises, vibration in the steering wheel and/or seat when applying the brake and pulling left or right.
